MON PARCOURS
My name is Alex Malenock, I was born in Akron, Ohio USA on May 8th. 1944.
I am of Slavic descent, Lemko and Polish. In the country growing up as a child, I explored nature and all it’s wonders. I started drawing when I was first able to pick up paper and crayon.
I like to think of myself as semi-abstract outsider artist who has been inspired by such artist as, Matisee, Picasso, Chagall, Miro, and Masson.
I had 4 years of art schooling From 1959-1962 under the directions Maestro Ernest Bako, he was a master watercolorist. I owe much to this man, may his memory be eternal.
I won many awards for my work in shows during this period of time. I have continued painting all my life in many mediums from paper, canvas, to chicken and goose eggs. I work in acrylics, magic markers, watercolors, oils and gauche.
I have appeared in many shows threw out the years for my paintings and eggs. My work can be found in private collections in Marseille France, Chicago, Michigan, Ohio, and New York.
I now live in North Ridgeville, Ohio with my Partner Douglas of 25 years. I hope you enjoy my website. I want to thank Monsieur Bertrand Boegly for all of his hard work for making this site possible.
Je m'appelle Alex Malenock, je suis né le 8 mai 1944 dans la ville d'Akron, Ohio, Etats-Unis.
Je suis d'origine slave, lemko et polonaise. Dans la région où j'ai grandi j'ai découvert la nature et toute sa force. J'ai commencé à dessiner dès que j'ai été capable de tenir un crayon.
Je me considère comme un artiste semi-abstrait inspiré par des maîtres tels que Matisse, Picasso, Chagall, Miro et Masson.
De 1959 à 1962, j'ai suivi l'enseignement d'Ernest Bako, un maître de l'aquarelle.
Je dois beaucoup à cet homme dont je vénère la mémoire.
Pendant cette période, j'ai remporté beaucoup de prix pour mon travail.
J'ai continué à peindre toute ma vie sur de nombreux supports : du papier à la toile, des oeufs d'oie aux oeufs de poule. Je travaille l'acrylique, les feutres, l'aquarelle, l'huile et la gauche.
J'ai été remarqué dans de nombreuses expositions pour mes toiles et mes oeufs peints.
On peut voir mes oeuvres dans des collections privées tant à Marseille (France) qu'à Chigaco, à New York, ou dans le Michigan et l'Ohio.
Je vis aujourd'hui à North Ridgeville (Ohio) avec Douglas, mon compagnon depuis 25 ans.
